I HAVE READ THIS WHOLE SERIES - LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT BOOK - THE EIGHTH- DUE IN THE FALL. I ENJOYED THE AUDIO EVEN MORE - THE SERIES IS WONDERFUL, INTERESTING CHARACTERS THAT YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT. THE ROMANCE IS EXCITING,STEAMY - THE PARANORMAL WORLD IS A GREAT ESCAPE - LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!!!!. I HOPE THEY ALSO PUT THE OTHER BOOKS ON AUDIO. AUDIO ENHANCES THE STORY SINCE YOU PICK UP DETAIL YOU MIGHT SKIP WHEN READING. IT MAKES A HOUR COMMUTE TO WORK FLY. THIS SERIES IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ IF YOU LIKE ADVENTURE, ROMANCE, COOL SUB-CULTURE WITH A GOOD HARD BITE.

I downloaded this book when it was free never expecting what it turned out to be. A great book that I enjoyed. I have now read the next three. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an intense but still the romantic story of a different type of vampire world.

I bought all 7 books in one fail swoop not knowing if I would enjoy them or not. It took me all of 5 days to read them all and I must say the books are a delicious read. I am hungry for the next book in the series and would recommend fans of "paranormal (vampire) romance" to read these. I love the way each book is connected in the grand scheme of the story, but also love the indiviuality of each books new main characters (each being a member of the Order).
Adrian vs. Ward. Which is Better? February 17, 2010

This book rocked!!!! I started with JR Ward's BDB series so I have to admit that a lot of things are very similar but I was able to look past it. Lara Adrian delivers so much in this first book of the series. I can't wait to read them all! The characters were great, the story was intriguing and the sex was down right hot!!!
For all of you BDB nay-sayers, yes it was very similar to Dark Lover and the rest of JR Ward's BDB series but also very different. Plus it was nice reading a book that resembled one of the BDB series without all the slang, name-dropping and sometimes very bad dialogue Ward is known for. Adrian gave me everything I wanted out of a vamp romance. So the big question; which series is better? Well, I need to finish the Breed series but honestly, they both are really good.
