For years parents have been buying baby books to document all the precious moments in their new baby's life -- Baby's First Tooth, Baby's First Haircut, Baby's First Step. What have been ignored for too long are those "alternative" precious moments that really should be written down, celebrated, and remembered -- Baby's First Projectile Vomit, Baby's First Tantrum in a Crowded Grocery Store, Baby's 10,000th Dirty Diaper. Otherwise you might forget them and think of becoming parents once again.

 Not Funny or Practical July 7, 2010

This is a book that you'd flip through once time and never look at again. It's not very funny and is not a book to actually be filled out. It includes spaces to fill out babies first video game, first email address, first ritalin prescription, first tattoo, arrest, and DUI, first tantrum, first spanking, etc and parents first fights. Also includes pages for babies step parents, step siblings, and step grandparents. I get the authors intentions, it just struck me as disturbing rather than funny. I have literally thrown this book in the trash.

It might behoove the authors to revise this book before its next printing, to include newer slang and pop culture references. Still, my friends got a big kick out of this book. A great gift idea for new parents!

I shouldn't laugh, but really, you don't buy this book for the purpose of actually recording your child's "firsts"in ....I found this at a garage sale. Having just gotten my first tattoo at the age of 50 I was really intrigued. So despite being "middle aged" and having teenagers, I found this book wonderfully funny. Perhaps it would be best to give it to a parent of a new child who has older kids too! My 14 year old daughter thought it was quite funny. Now, of course, not everything will tickle your funny bone. But overall, it's a fun book to give!

A lot of the references were out of date mid-90's. It was more of a humourous book to flip through than an off the wall book to coincide with our baby.
