Product Description The second book in an ongoing series from the seminal West Coast art and culture magazine, Juxtapoz Tattoo focuses on a subject very dear to the inked hearts of its readers. Most of the featured artists came up at the beginning of Tattoo s modern renaissance in the mid 1990 s, hungry for a new approach, but steeped nonetheless in the traditions of their craft. Whether these gifted tattooists are creating a modern twist on a classic archetype, or pushing the boundaries of the future primitives aesthetic, innovation is the common goal. Featured tattooists include; Troy Penning, Alex McWatt, Brian Randolph and Chris O Donnell of New York Adorned, Scott Campbell, Daniel Trocchio, Steve Boltz, Bert Krak, Henry Lewis, Joseph Ari Aloi, Jason Schroder, Eli Quinters and more.

Juxtapoz Fan January 27, 2009 Heather Fetterly (San Diego, CA USA) This book is very cool. My only complaint is that it doesn't feature enough art, although another 500 pages wouldn't have been enough for me. Overall, some very cool artists are featured and the book has a decent range of styles.
Great gift! January 11, 2009 Veronica Herrera 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book has wonderful, close-up color images. The book includes information about tattoo artists with their work, which is a feature most tattoo books lack. I bought this book for a friend of mine who is into tattoo art. He loved it.
GREAT PICS OF GREAT TATTOOS BY GREAT ARTISTS December 29, 2008 Boris Chang Jr. (NY United States) A good contemporary overview of relatively the more prolific of today's tattoo artists. Great photographs, quality bound, a good publication expected from Juxtapoz. If your into traditional tattooing with a mix of new school methods, add this to your library.
great December 16, 2008 M. Wahbe this is a great book. the picture quality is great and there is good diversity in style. i love that it's a hard cover.
A great glimpse at current tattoo artists December 9, 2008 Barbara Staples (Chicago, IL) This book focuses on a handful of great tattoo artist, mainly on the west coast with samples of tattoo work for each artist. There are 2-5 pieces per artist, and the photos are very well done. Each artist has a little bio. I wish there was more content on each artist, but the purpose of the book is to just give you a glimpse of each - so if you want to know more about them then go look them up! My only other wish was that there focused on more people in other parts of the USA or world - maybe that is for a later book!
